A user on GTAForumwho claim to have also been behind it the latest hack of Uberhas just dumped nearly 100 videos online claiming to show development footage of Rockstars Grand Theft Auto VI, which is currently circulating across pretty much every social media platform.

Matches a lot of what Bloomberg reported earlier this year-including that the game will play alongside a woman and be recorded Vice City– the videos are very much under development, with unfinished textures and models everywhere, and code that plays out in real time across many of them. The leaker is currently taking requests, asking people what else they want to see in more videos.

In a, a white male playable character encounters a racist NPC at a poolside, and as the conversation happens, you can see the code required for the interaction unfolding alongside the action in the game. In another, the female character—I’m only specifying it like that because it would be a series first—explores one of the show’s infamous strip clubs.

The woman who appears to be the new protagonist of GTA 6, appearing in the unprecedented leaks from Rockstar Games.

This appears to be the new female protagonist for GTA 6, which is technically a series first, all the more reason why a leak of this caliber for one of the most anticipated games ever is so unprecedented for Rockstar Games.

There is also a video showing “passenger firing mechanics”, illustrated with the player taking an AK-47 to some pursuing police cars, and another showing off interior modeling of a car.

One of the more complete videos uploaded shows both characters working together to rob a diner, holding the patrons at gunpoint until the police arrive. Others are in cruder form, featuring little more than a featureless placeholder character that moves around an empty landscape and plays out combat animations such as taking cover.

The legitimacy of these videos is obviously in doubt. It’s certainly a lot of recording, and faking both the action and the code running at the same time would be a lot of work for an internet prank. But it’s still a leak, and unless Rockstar comments (we’ve reached out and will update if we hear back), we won’t know it is real until we can match what is shown here with what eventually appears GTA VI.

If it is real, so hell. Given the status of the game and the amount of footage it would be one of the biggest of all time, right up there with Half life 2. So far, however, it looks legal: not only are journalists who ex-Kotaku behemoth Jason Schreier says Rockstar is contacting have confirmed the information to them, Rockstar employees appears to like tweets related to the apparent hack. But the wildest part?

The hacker is trying to make a deal with Rockstar right now, although we don’t know what kind. To stop distributing more material? To make sure the player doesn’t get sued? Regardless, this is definitely one of the most unprecedented leaks in all of video game history.

Earlier this year, Bloomberg also reported that the next GTA would try to be more “culturally sensitive”, a more subtle shift in tone that has already become apparent in the reissue of GTA V. The last match then Rockstar removes some transphobic content which had previously been criticized by some fans.

While things move quickly on the hacking front, and there are rumors of potential scams involving the sale of the source code, fans are busy figuring out what’s visible in the footage that’s already out there. There are already theories about who will play the new lead role.

Update 13:55: Added details of the leaker’s cry to Rockstar, along with new story developments.
